This photo divided Greece. And perhaps not without reason.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With these thoughts in mind, I walked into the classroom without saying a word. I simply projected this image onto the board and stood there silently for a few moments, almost as if I were waiting for the image itself to teach the lesson.<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Acropolis in the foreground. And behind it, the under-construction <\/span><\/span>Rivie<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, looking as though it had emerged from another era, like a fragment of the future forced violently into a painting of ancient history.<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For fifteen seconds, nobody spoke. And inside a teenage classroom, that is almost supernatural. Only eyes staring. Some curious. Some irritated. Some carrying that particular expression teenagers have when something unsettles them, even though they cannot yet explain why.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then I simply asked them to tell me <\/span><\/span>what they saw<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. And suddenly, it was not just words unfolding in the room, but entire ways of thinking.<\/span><\/span>
