Brick<\/strong>.<\/div>\n
How many children have heard this word from teachers or parents… and yet stayed silent? They never complained. They simply swallowed it. And little by little, they learned to swallow it every single day, until it became a habit<\/strong>. A habit they began to cook inside themselves, to seek out, as if it belonged to them.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
<\/div>\n
Because they believed that if they spoke, they would be even more exposed.<\/div>\n
One word slipping out might be a mistake\u2014yet the mistake was no longer a learning oportunity<\/strong>, but a threat<\/strong>. And who doesn’t tremble at the laughter of classmates, their comments, their labels?<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

Brick<\/strong>.<\/div>\n
A word that can shut down your voice<\/strong>. Perhaps forever.<\/div>\n
You are not a “brick” because you wrote something incorrectly.<\/div>\n
You only happened to be in an environment that wasn’t safe<\/strong>, surrounded by people who didn’t listen to mistakes with respect<\/strong>. That is where the brain shuts down. And it orders the mouth to stay silent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Brick<\/strong>.<\/div>\n
Usually you’re younger than the one who says it. Or weaker. And suddenly you are certain you don’t belong. A veil of shame <\/b>covers you. Your self-image<\/strong> shatters into a thousand pieces on the floor. And you think: maybe it’s better this way. Why need a mirror that shows you a “brick”?<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
<\/div>\n
And so “brick” becomes your inner voice<\/strong>. It shapes your behavior for years. And you keep on silencing yourself<\/strong> even as an adult in similar situations.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

You didn’t speak to your teachers<\/strong>, when you felt their criticism.<\/div>\n
You didn’t speak to your classmates<\/strong>, when they mocked you\u2014or worse, competed against you.<\/div>\n
You didn’t even speak to your parents<\/strong>, because you didn’t want to disappoint them.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
<\/div>\n
Slowly, you didn’t even speak to your self<\/strong>.<\/div>\n
And when you were convinced that “it’s not worth speaking<\/strong>,” silence became inner oppression<\/strong>. A heavy anxiety that blocks both memory <\/b>and language<\/strong>. The brain then gives the command:<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

Children do not stay silent out of indifference or laziness.<\/div>\n
They stay silent because silence<\/b> feels safer than being heard.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

And what they truly need – what they will thank you for even long after you’re gone – is for you to take that word and replace it with another.<\/div>\n
With a look of acceptance<\/strong>. With a smile of encouragement<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
<\/div>\n
Because the word that BROKE you can be replaced with another that will build you up again<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
